Natural gas - gas quality measurement

Gas chromatographs allow you to analyze the components of natural gases and their mixed gases. They provide you with the gas composition needed for further energy determination. For a simpler calorific value determination, correlative systems can be used.

The following instrument families are available:
PGC 9300
The PGC 9300 gas chromatograph can be used to analyze the components of the gas composition of natural gas, biogas, gas from Power-2-Gas applications and their mixed gases. For each application, one of the different variants of the PGC is available for selection. With the gas components, the analysis computer further calculates values such as the calorific value, standard density, heating value and Wobbe index. The PGC is officially approved by the PTB for natural gas, biogas and natural gas with contents of O2 up to 5% and H2 up to 20%.

GQS 400
The GQS 400 is a compact gas analyzer with a microthermal sensor in combination with a critical nozzle. From the signals of the sensors, the variables calorific value, relative density, methane number and Wobbe index can be determined according to a correlative procedure. The GQS400 is suitable for fuel gases with calorific values between 7.8 kWh and 14 kWh. It operates without carrier gas or other auxiliary gases. Due to the short measuring cycle time of approx. 30 seconds, the GQS 400 is excellently suited for control tasks.
