The RFC-7 volume corrector represents the next generation of intelligent gas flow measurement and modern IT security concepts in one powerful device.
As a high-performance volume corrector, it processes flow and gas quality data as well as pressure and temperature in real time and calculates standard volumes and energy with high precision in accordance with all common standards.
Thanks to modern algorithms, versatile interfaces and robust industrial hardware, the RFC-7 enables reliable gas measurement, transparent process data and maximum operational safety - even under demanding operating conditions.

As a high-performance volume corrector, it essentially fulfills the following three functions:

  • Measurement data acquisition from gas meters, gas analyzers, pressure and temperature sensors as well as monitoring the measurement data acquisition.
  • Processing the measured data and calculating process variables such as standard volume flow, K-number and calorific value using suitable calculation methods for various gas models.
  • Archiving and output of the measured values and calculated process variables or display in graphical form as well as sending alarm and warning messages in the event of limit value violations.

Depending on the connected devices and the recorded measurement data, the volume corrector can be used with different software and parameterization for the following applications:

  • State volume corrector for determining the K-number and the standard volume of gas mixtures, LNG, LPG, hydrogen (H2), natural gas and biogas as well as many technical gases
  • Calorific value volume corrector for determining the K-number, the standard volume and the energy content of gas mixtures, LNG, LPG, hydrogen (H2), natural gas and biogas as well as many technical gases
