Thesis in the field of ultrasound software development

At the earliest possible date, we offer you the opportunity in our R&D department in Butzbach to write your
thesis in the field of ultrasound software development
and complete a paid internship at the same time.

Your tasks:

In the course of increasing automation and digitalization, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in software development is becoming increasingly important. The aim of this master's thesis is to investigate the practical use of AI tools in the analysis of sensor signals in Ultrasonic Gas Meters.

In detail, this means

  • You are responsible for analyzing and selecting suitable AI tools for evaluating sensor signals
  • You will independently generate training data sets for modelling and optimizing the AI methods
  • You integrate the developed algorithms into the existing firmware of our Ultrasonic Gas Meters
  • You evaluate the practical suitability and efficiency of the methods used by means of test measurements on test bench equipment
  • The comparison of the analysis results with established methods is also part of your area of responsibility

Your profile:

  • You are currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the natural sciences
  • You have already gained experience with AI applications as part of your studies or internship
  • You are interested in analyzing various topics in the field of soft- and firmware development
  • You are a team-oriented personality with an independent way of working and a high level of quality awareness
  • You are adept at using MS Office applications
  • Good German and English skills round off your profile
