Change in the executive board of RMG Group
Dr. Westerwelle is new member of the executive board
On 1st January 2008, Dr. Angelika Westerwelle took up her appointment on the executive board of RMG Group; she succeeds Dr. Gerd Fischer, who was responsible for production and logistics, as well as for design and development
for four years.
After studying business economics and specialising in technology at the universities RWTH Aachen, Cambridge (UK), and Harvard (USA), Dr. Westerwelle took her doctorate at RWTH Aachen.
She has more than 15 years’ experience both as a managing director and also as a consultant in mechanical engineering and vehicle manufacturing. In the past, the emphasis of her work has been efficiency enhancement.
Because of this, she can refer to experience from all stages of the supply chain, in particular in production optimisation and in supply chain management.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the RMG Group, Dr. Westerwelle will be responsible for the fields of production and logistics, including purchasing.
Dr. Henning Bähren, the chairman of the executive board of RMG Group, will be responsible for the fields of design and development.
“In my career up to now, I have been able to gain a very broad range of experience in medium-sized companies, both as a consultant and as an entrepreneur. I will apply this experience to continue to advance RMG Group’s growth track”, said Dr. Westerwelle on her first day in her new position.
