Gazomet receives high honours

Most innovative SME in Poland

500 small and medium-sized companies from Poland competed for the "Tuning Fork of Innovation" at Poland's innovation event "Chamber Pitch of Innovation 2008". In the end it was Polish RMG company Gazomet who won the honours of "Most Innovative SME in Poland". The jury included private sector employers from all over Poland, Dun & Bradstreet, the world's leading provider of credit information on businesses and corporations, German business magazine "Manager Magazin", and Polish BRE Bank.

The evaluation of candidates focused on aspects like nature, sources and effects of the innovations implemented by the contenders.

The jury wanted to know what effect innovation had had on the companies

1. growth of market shares

2. cost of economic activity

3. reduction of environmental impact

4. increase in sales

5. effectiveness of innovations

Gazomet finally won the day with their consistent measures for the continuous improvement of processes and the great number of patent applications.

It was impressive to see the edge that Gazomet had over everyone else. With 846 points, this RMG company out-distanced the runner-up who achieved respectable 650 points.

"We are proud of what we have achieved", said Robert Aszkielowicz, Gazomet's executive director after the event. "We take this home as a stimulus to go and develop ever new ideas and solutions – and to actually implement them in our company. That way, we 're sure to consistently promote and strengthen the innovation skills and competitiveness of Gazomet – and thus the RMG Group as a whole".
