One of the big challenges of this project will be precise control and regulation. Natural gas will be transmitted at operating pressures that may reach 120 bar. And the volumes involved will be considerable. WEPP 2 is planned to handle 30 billion cubic metres of natural gas each year - all of which will have to be controlled with adequate precision.
However, thanks to excellent teamwork and thorough planning between project managers of RMG by Honeywell and CNPC, all works have been carried out on time and without any problems.
RMG by Honeywell supplied the following equipment:
Western section:
RMG 214
RMG 512
RMG 530
RMG 711
Due to very high operating pressures, all equipment must be flange-mounted (ANSI 900, design pressure = 130 bar). For the same reason, there will be special versions of RMG 512 and RMG 711.
Eastern section:
RMG 503
RMG 512
RMG 530
RMG 711
RMG 900
(all standard versions, ANSI 600)
