A throttle limits the maximal flow to qn= 2 m³/h according to the application range, so that the maximal volume of the SBV-stage equalizes the volume for pu max. I.e. the diameter of the throttle and the SBV-orifice are fixed so that more gas is always re-lieved to the atmosphere through the safety relief valve stage than can penetrate into the device, even during failure conditions. Therefore, an uncontrolled increase of the outlet pressure is avoided in case of defects. |
