Flame arresters serve as secondary explosion protection measures for hindering transmission of flames or explosion in machines, equipment and plants that contain combustible gas or steam-air mixtures of combustible fluids. According to the Directive 94/9/EC, they are protective systems that limit the effect of explosions to a harmless extent.
In the development and design of flashback arrestors, we work on the proven principle of the "flame-retardant gap". This principle is implemented by means of dry flame arrestors, which, depending on the process requirement, are normally made of metallic belt arrestors, with defined gap widths in different configurations. Specially trained skilled workers, in conjunction with precision machines, ensure a uniformly high quality of the gap widths of the belt arrestors. The latest measurement techniques guarantee an objective testing and documentation of these safety-relevant quantities.
There are test certificates available for all the required raw-material products. Conformance to the 94/9/EC for our flame arrestors is certified by means of an EC type test certificate, e.g. BAM and IBExU.
As an approved manufacturer of pressure regulation devices, we are also in a position to manufacture flame arrestors with more stringent customer requirements.
Our company is certified according to DIN ISO 9001 since 1994. The quality assurance system for the production of flame arrestors was repeatedly examined by the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und –prüfung Berlin (Federal German Office for Material Research and Testing) as an accredited certification authority and confirmed by the award of the corresponding certificate.
